Manchester, N.H. – PCS, a non-profit organization offering psychotherapy services is pleased to announce the recent appointments of Dr. Alan Kaplan and Rev. Kevin Pleas to PCS’ Board of Directors. PCS located in Manchester, N.H. with satellite offices in Bedford, Nashua and Portsmouth offers through their skilled psychotherapists a variety of high quality and affordable counseling and community programs to individuals, couples, families and children.
“Dr, Kaplan and Rev. Pleas join an already dynamic board of volunteer Directors,” said David Reynolds, D.Min., LPP, PCS Executive Director. “We call upon our Directors to assist in establishing the strategy for PCS and to be our extension into the community by creating and setting the path for new outreach programs & partnerships. Both Dr. Kaplan and Rev. Please come to PCS with excitement and passion for our mission. We are fortunate to have their expertise and look forward to their involvement.”
Dr. Alan Kaplan is a retired cardiologist after more than 37 years in the medical field. He is the founder and artistic director for the Manchester Community Theatre Players and was the recipient of PCS’ Good Samaritan Award in 2014 for Media & Arts. Dr. Kaplan has an impressive medical background, he served two years as a Navy physician, his career included a teaching appointment at Harvard and medical appointments at Mass General, Brigham and Women’s and Beth Israel Hospital before settling down with a cardiologist career in Manchester, NH with staff appointments at both Elliot Hospital and Catholic Medical Center (CMC).
Rev. Kevin Pleas received his Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School and was Ordained to Christian Ministry in 1987. He has been a parish pastor ever since, serving churches in Massachusetts, Illinois, Connecticut, Maine and now New Hampshire as both pastor and senior pastor. Since November of 2015, he has been providing spiritual leadership for the First Congregational Church of Manchester. He has a deep and abiding love of God and the work of ministry.
